30 farms in Kyrgyzstan export fish abroad

There are 194 fish farms registered in the unified state fishery registry of the Kyrgyz Republic, of which 30 farms export fish and fish products to Russia, Kazakhstan and third countries, the Ministry of Agriculture said. The republic mainly produces two types of marketable fish – carp species and rainbow trout.

In 2021, artificial fish reproduction was carried out in Issyk-Kul, Son-Kul lakes, Orto-Tokoi and Toktogul reservoirs.
