FAISALABAD, May 8: When the world is observing Mother’s Day on Sunday, an embarrassing incident of violence against an old mother took place in Faisalabad. According to a private television channel report, the daughter tortured her mother over a property dispute in the Gulfishan Colony area of the city. The daughter tortured the elderly mother with her son. She also beat the old mother with sticks and shoes. The victim’s mother filed an application for legal action at the Jhang Bazar police station. Jhang Bazar police have not yet registered a case at the request of the victim’s mother. The victim stated the daughter who tortures her, does not allow her to meet with other sons. -NNI
