Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani will be ‘working with one of the Khans’ of Bollywood, according to a local report.
2015 was probably the best year for Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani, who starred in the highest grossing film in Pakistani cinema Jawani Phir Nahi Ani by ARY Films. However, 2016 is being touted as perhaps even better for the actress, who recently disclosed that she would be working with one of the Khans of Bollywood pretty soon!
“It’s going to be a Khan film … I will be working with one of the Khans,” said Sarwat while opening up about the Bollywood offer she had received. However, that was all that the actress had to say about the film, stating that she would have more to say when the time was right.
Sarwat also spoke on a possible sequel to Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and said that despite some changes to the cast, the six main lead members will be retained.
“The main six cast members will be retained. Some others will be replaced,” she said.
Sarwat Gilani, who essayed the character of a fierce Pashtun wife in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, spoke about how easy it was for her to play the character since she was familiar with the Pakhtun culture.
“People loved my role because I played it very naturally. I didn’t have to make up the accent because I am familiar with Pukhtun culture to a great extent,” she said.
We’re thrilled to know that Sarwat might work with a leading Khan from the Indian film industry. Will it be Shah Rukh, Salman or Aamir? Only time will tell!
