KARACHI, March 25: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive Officer SM Muneer on Friday said that the export target of USD 35 billion could be achieved in the next three years. According to press release issued on Friday, he said that the Trade Policy is according to ground realities and aspirations of the business community and realizing the export target is linked to the prompt payment of refunds to the tune of Rs210 billion.
SM Muneer said that exporters are passing through difficult times due to held up refunds despite the fact that top government functionaries have assured payment of refunds to exporters soon. CEO TDAP lauded the government for allocating Rs20 billion to achieve target and demanded that Rs6 billion allocated for ongoing year should be disbursed immediately.
