KARACHI, January 3: The University of Petra (UOP), Jordan conferred upon the internationally renowned Pakistani scientist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary the title of ‘Adjunct Distinguished Professor’ in recognition of his meritorious scientific research and services in the field of chemistry.
A senior official of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) – University of Karachi (UoK) said that UOP Deans’ Council decided to award this title to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, the director of ICCBS-UoK, in recognition of his meritorious scientific research as an eminent scholar in the field of organic chemistry, contributing to the advancement of outstanding learning and research and interchange of international relations.
The UOP President, in an induction ceremony in Amman granted the Adjunct Distinguished Professorship certificate to Prof. Iqbal Choudhary. It is also worth mentioning here that Prof. Iqbal Choudhary has written and edited 27 books, most of which have been published in USA and Europe.
He is also the author of over 900 research papers and chapters in top international science journals of the West, as well as 32 US patents. The cumulative impact factor of his publications is over 1,650.
