ISLAMABAD, June 8: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that he would announce date for the long march after Supreme Court’s decision.
Addressing PTI’s national council on Wednesday, Imran Khan while asking the party workers to be prepared for his call one they get clearance from the apex court said that it will be the biggest protest in Pakistan’s history.
The former PM said while lashing out at the government said that they are afraid that if America is disgruntled with them, then they will suffer the same fate as the Russian oligarchs, claiming that from 2008 to 2018, adding that the US carried out 400 drone attacks on Pakistan, a number that had been unprecedented.
Khan said the former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif did not condemn when the drone attacks were taking place in Pakistan despite Islamabad being an ally of Washington.
Taking a dig at PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PTI chairman said, Bilawal did a long march towards Islamabad when Rs4 per litre was increased by his government. Where is he now when the fuel prices have been jacked up by Rs60 per litre?
In the ruling tenure of the PTI government, the petrol was increased by Rs55 per litre, but the ‘imported government’ has raised its prices by Rs60 in just 15 days, he was quoted.-TLTP
