RAHIM YAR KHAN, June 13: : The Punjab Government in its recent budget 2022-23 has allocated Rs. 800 million for KhwajaFarid University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, which will set up a Chemical and Agri-cultural engineering block in the university. During the budget speech, Provincial Minister OwaisLeghari said that under the annual development program of 2022-23, Chemical and Agriculture Engineering Block would be set up at Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology for Rs. 800 million. The budget also includes various programs of Rs. 2.32 billion for other schemes of higher education. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir thanks the Prime Minister of Pakistan MianShahbaz Sharif, Punjab Government especially Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz, Finance Department, Higher Education Department and Provincial Minister Owais. Leghari on allocating funds for development programs of KFUEIT. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir said that it was not easy to present a balanced budget in the current economic situation. We welcome the inclusion of university development programs in the budget. He said that this would not only solve the long-standing problems of the university but also provide better and quality education opportunities to the students of South Punjab. He said that this knowledge-friendly decision of the Punjab government would have far-reaching effects.
He further said that according to the educational vision of the Punjab government, KhwajaFarid University would devote all its energies to the establishment of Chemical and Agricultural Engineering Block equipped with modern facilities.-PR
