Chinese investors call on Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, June 16: : A five-member delegation of Chinese investors called on the Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani at Parliament House on Thursday. Matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, investment and CPEC projects were also discussed during the meeting. The Chairman Senate said that Pakistan attaches great importance to the role of China in global and regional affairs. During the meeting it was agreed to further enhance the bilateral relations. The Chinese delegation was led by MCCT President Dong Gaofing. Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said that the Government of Pakistan is keen to further expand economic ties with China. He further said that business partnership and investment would help bring the people of both the countries closer and investors of both the countries could benefit from investing in various sectors. He said that Balochistan is rich in natural resources and Chinese investors should look for opportunities to invest in various sectors across the province. Pakistan welcomes Chinese investors. The Senate Chairman underlined that there was need to further promote Chinese investment in industrialization, mining, agriculture and digital technologies through which a new chapter of cooperation will begin. The head of the Delegation thanked the Chairman Senate and said that he was very happy to visit Pakistan. He highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and said that bilateral ties would be further strengthened through investment and trade. -NNI
