Interior Ministry seeks funds to deal with PTI’s potential sit-in

ISLAMABAD, June 21: The Interior Ministry has sought funds to maintain law and order for dealing with the potential protest and sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI). Sources privy to the matter said the Interior Ministry has sent two separate summaries to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for funding. According to sources, the Interior Ministry has demanded the total amount of Rs180m for the purchase of cameras and to maintain law and order during the protest and sit of PTI. Out of the total amount, Rs140m has been demanded for maintaining law and order during the protest and sit-in. Sources said that Rs39.3 million has been demanded for the purchase of surveillance cameras.-DNA
