Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev was received by Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Bahrain, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The meeting took place in Manama as part of the Kyrgyz foreign minister’s official visit to Bahrain, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said Wednesday.
The Bahraini prime minister noted the importance of the first official visit of the Kyrgyz foreign minister to the country, which creates favorable conditions for further development of bilateral relations.
Kulubaev conveyed a special message addressed to the King of Bahrain, noting that Kyrgyzstan is interested in close cooperation and expresses its readiness to conduct an active political dialogue with it in all areas of mutual cooperation.
The minister informed his interlocutor about the policy pursued by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and measures taken to develop the national economy, improve the investment climate and develop the tourism sector in the country. It was noted that the citizens of Bahrain are subject to visa-free regime for up to 60 days.
In addition, the sides exchanged views on important aspects of the international and regional agenda, including food security, humanitarian crisis, as well as discussed the situation in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
They also agreed to take joint measures to intensify Kyrgyz-Bahraini relations, increase trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties, including by organizing reciprocal visits at high and the highest levels. – Kabar
