President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov visited the Solton-Sary gold deposit in Naryn Oblast, the press service of the head of state reported.
The president inspected the Buchuk site, where the investor once began the construction of the relevant infrastructure, but suspended all activities in 2019 after discontent from local residents.
The explored reserves of gold in this area amount to 12 tons, while according to geologists’ forecasts, additional reserves of the precious metal may amount to another 22 tons.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the final decision on this enterprise will be made after a comprehensive analysis and comprehensive study of the situation, adding that special attention is paid to environmental issues.
Further, the president visited the Solton-Sary Mine enterprise, which is a branch of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, which has been developing the Altyn-Tor site at the Solton-Sary field since 1994.
The head of state was informed about the main indicators of the enterprise, the volume of mining work, payments to the budget, the amount of disbursed investments, planned additional injections from the investor company Avelum Partner, and also showed the work of the gold recovery plant.
At present, the Solton-Sary Mine branch and Avelum Partner LLC, on the basis of a partnership agreement, are carrying out complex work at the Altyn-Tor site.
The head of state also met with local residents, who asked a number of problematic questions, including those related to the environment and the development of the road network. Sadyr Zhaparov listened to them carefully and gave exhaustive answers. – Kabar
