The English version of Xi Jinping and College Students are seen at the launching ceremony held on in Beijing, China. It will make the international debut in Pakistan “Why was Pakistan has been as the first country to launch the English version?” asked Huang Yongjun, President of Veritas & Mercurius Publishing House, Jiangsu China at the Launch Ceremony.
Huang added that China and Pakistan, as all-weather strategic cooperative partners, have a deep traditional friendship. Amity between the people holds the key to state-to-state relations.
The English version of Xi Jinping and College Students will attract a great number of Pakistanis readers and will help them know about the stories between Chinese President Xi and China’s young college students. “I believe that this book will help Pakistanis better understand how Chinese President Xi Jinping help and care the young Chinese,” said Ahmad Jawad, CEO of Beyond the Horizon, the publisher of the English version, in his video speech.
Besides China’s young college students, Xi also cares about young Pakistani students.
In the reply letter to all Pakistani students studying in the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China in 2020, President Xi encouraged the students to communicate more with their Chinese peers and join hands with youth from all countries to contribute to promoting people-to-people connectivity and building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Xi Jinping and College Students (Chinese version) was published by China Youth Publishing Group in 2020. It is learnt that China and Pakistan have agreed to translate and publish 50 classic works in the next five years in a bid to further understanding and appreciation of each other’s fine cultures and promote people-to-people ties.It offers a vivid description of Xi’s insights into youth work through interviews with young people who had communicated with him. The book has received a warm welcome from many young foreigners
The book since published in China in November 2020 has been well received among the general public, university students in particular in China. It can now be found in major book stores in Pakistan.
