ISLAMABAD, July 18: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has started admissions for the first phase of autumn semester 2022. Programs offered in the first phase include Matriculation (General, Dars e Nizami and Open courses) , FA (General, Dars e Nizami and Open courses), I.Com, Middle Tech, Certificate Courses, BS, MSc, MS/MPhil and Ph.D. Admission forms and prospectuses of these programs are available online on the University’s website (www.aiou.edu.pk).
Admission forms and prospectus for Matriculation and FA programs are available at the main campus of the University in Islamabad, Regional Campuses, and sale points established across the country. Students who are willing to take admission in matric and FA can submit the forms through both online and manual mode whereas, in BS, MSc, MS/MPhil and Ph.D programs forms can be submitted only through online mode. The admission fee can also be paid online through Jazz Cash, EasyPaisa, and UPay’s mobile app.
As per the new policy of the university, overseas Pakistani and international students can also enroll in matric, FA and I.Com programs. It is pertinent to mention here that in the last semester, students from many countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Malaysia, Italy, Canada, Africa, and the United States, took admission in various educational programs and AIOU has set the goal to increase the number of international students to 10,000 in the next three years. The university is offering these programs through online management system and all academic activities ranging from submission of admission application to the issuance of certificates/degrees will be managed online. More than 30 programs will be offered for international students in the second phase of admissions starting on September 1.-PR
