Director of the Third Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Bekbolotov met with Director of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Michal Grodzki, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said. In the framework of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Poland, the sides discussed the possibility of organizing regular inter-ministerial consultations in September 2022 in Bishkek, as well as the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Zbigniew Rau to Kyrgyzstan in the autumn of 2022.
In terms of trade and economic cooperation, Ruslan Bekbolotov noted the importance of holding joint business forums, expressing interest in establishing cooperation with well-known Polish manufacturers of textile products.
Michal Grodzki voiced the interest of the Polish side in developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in agriculture, innovation and information technology. The parties also discussed the possibility of holding the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
The development of cooperation in the field of education, including possible programs to provide scholarships for students from Kyrgyzstan was also discussed during the meeting.
The representative of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry positively noted the activities of the Polish public association “Odrodzienie” (Revival) in Kyrgyzstan, which promotes the development of culture and the Polish language. – Kabar
