ISLAMABAD, August 26: JahanAraWatoo a politician and human right advocate has been appointed as Vice President of the Pakistan Businesses Forum (PBF). She had been affiliated with Ministry of Human Rights and also worked as Regional Advisor in Saarc body. She numerously attended different courses in National DefenceUniversirty (NDU).
On the appointment, JahanAraWatoo said the establishment of PBF was much needed for the real advocacy forum towards government.
She highlighted the importance of effective public-private dialogue in planning and implementation of economic reforms, especially as government planning around the world has become participatory, collaborative and market-oriented in nature.
On flood situation; Wattoo demanded that provincial governments should provide financial assistance to flood affecties under livestock and housing, immediately providing them with tents, mosquito nets, mosquito spray, food and drink equipment, digging drains and ensuring drainage of water from villages and crops.
She also demanded from National Bank of Pakistan, ZaraiTaraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) to write off all agriculture loans in the province of Sindh and Balochistan on immediately bases for the 2021-2022 year.
