The Indians are past masters in wiping off all clues, stains and proofs of high profile politically motivated cases which they think can let on their diabolical designs against Pakistan and show their hidden ugly face to the world. The cold blood murder of Tanzil Ahmad, a DSP in the National Investigating Agency recently, probing Pathankot episode is a case in point. The assassinated police officer was reputed to be a honest and straightforward police officer who brooked no interference in his official work. The possibility that he might have refused to write inquiry report of the Pathankot incident to the liking of his superiors cannot be ruled out altogether. The Indians have a lot to live down when it comes to their policy of Pakistan bashing. They spare no opportunity where they could let down Pakistan. They malign Pakistan for everything under the sun that goes wrong in India and lay the blame for it squarely at the door of Pakistan. Whatever happened in the not-too-distant past in Mumbai and Gujerat, the strongholds of the lunatic fringe within the BJP cannot be brushed aside lightly.
The Indian Congress party governments in the past have never been friendly to us but the present BJP’s government has upstaged them in its animosity to muslims living in India as well as against Pakistan. Persons like Sardar Patel, who was home minister in Nehru’s cabinet, have always been present in a big number in the Indian Congress who were after the blood of the Indian muslims though they believed in sweet poisoning them instead of taking them head on;the BJP, on the contrary, has always let it be known in so many words that muslims of India would have to renounce their religion and convert to hinduism if they are to live in India.
Let us admit that our government is rather slow in projecting the true face of the present Indian government to the world. A diplomatic offensive needs to be launched throughout the world against New Delhi’s machination against us. There is a common perception that the present rulers in Islamabad who are business tycoons are more interested in extending business ties with India so that the products of their factories could find an access to the vast Indian market which is unfortunate. They will have to dispel this perception by keeping the interest of the state above and before their own business interests.
