PESHAWAR, April 6: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan on Wednesday said he would take up the issue of Panama Papers leak on floor of the National Assembly.
“Panama Papers is an important issue. I will discuss it in detail in the (National) Assembly,” Imran Khan said while talking to media men here.
He said no one is going to accept the judicial commission constituted by the Prime Minister under a retired judge of the Supreme Court.
The PTI Chairman said they invest in offshore companies but fail to take the nation into confidence over the mode of transfer of funds.
“I can’t help thinking about the D-Chowk. But, this time the sit-in may not have to be as long as it was the last time,” he warned.
He defended sending of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Women Protection Bill to Council of Islamic Ideology, saying the decision was taken to avoid any “unnecessary controversy”.

to build consensus so that it could not become controversial like it happened in Punjab.
The KP government’s move had drawn criticism from rights activists.
The PTI chairman said the commission led by him has prepared recommendations to improve the existing Ehtesab Act. “The Ehtesab Commission would make policies while the DG (Director General) of the commission would implement it under the proposed Act”.
He said Lt-Gen (retd) Hamid resigned as DG Ehtesab Commission over reservations that KP government want to undermine the independence of the commission.
“In a new act we have tried to remove all the reservations that General Hamid had expressed in his resignation,” Imran added. He said that the provincial government is also working to counter white-collar crime. Online/DNA
