PanamaLeaksLAHORE, April 6: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has admitted a petition seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over Panama Papers leaks.
PTI Lawyers’ Forum Vice-President Gauhar Nawaz Sindhu has taken the pleas that politicians have plundered national wealth and siphoned off it in their offshore accounts. In the light of the Panama Papers leaks, these politicians including the prime minister should be disqualified and cases of money laundering should be registered against them.
The high court office raised objection over making the PM as respondent. The petitioner moved the high court against the office objection and the court admitted the petition for preliminary hearing. The court directed high court office to fix the date for hearing of the case. -Online
