PESHAWAR, April 8: Advisor to KP Chief Minister for C&W, Akbar Ayub Khan has said that the provincial government was utilizing all its resources for the improvement of communication system in the province with its own resources and financial assistance and cooperation of Asian Development Bank for rehabilitation and construction of the 500 KM highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He expressed these views while meeting a mission of ADB headed by Paon Kirky, Senior Transport Specialist, Secretary C&W Eng. Muhammad Asif Khan, MD Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority Eng. Muhammad Aziz, Chief Foreign Aid Khalid Illyas, Assistant Chief Infrastructure Saleem Jan and Deputy Director PKHA Muhammad Ejaz were also present on the occasion. During the meeting the improvement of highway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was discussed in detail.
On this occasion, Secretary C&W and MD PKHA briefed in detail the mission about the provincial government’s steps for rehabilitation of highways in the province.
Advisor for C&W welcomed the cooperation of Asian Dev. Bank for the rehabilitation of communication network of the province and hoped that it would also continue in future. Akbar Ayub further said that Chief Minister has issued clear directives to the PKHWA to complete the construction and rehabilitation work before January 2017 positively.-PR
