The cracker attack on the offices of ARY in Islamabad, to me had only one meaning. Those responsible for, or involved in, this attack had no other purpose than to establish that Daish or Islamic State has arrived in Pakistan in such a big way that not even the most sensitive area of this country’s capital is beyond its capacity to hit.
Terrorism always has only one objective. It seeks to terrorise people, and to create an atmosphere of insecurity. The end goal of terrorists always is to destabilize the society or the country.
The question that crops up here is what the goal of the Daish is in Pakistan? Does it hope to defeat the Pak Army and take over the country? Are those who constitute the Daish devoid of all common sense, and are essentially insane?
If not, and if the Daish people cannot even think of defeating the Pak Army, then what are they doing here in Pakistan? At whose behest they are here? Whose proxy war are they fighting?
These are simple questions. These need logical answers. Two motor cyclists were sent to the ARY office to throw a cracker alongwith a declaration: We are Daish. Couldn’t they be agents of an enemy who wants to operate under the cover of Daish?
