- Slams Sharifs for spending taxpayers money on ‘propaganda campaign’
- Claims PM announced gas pipeline project for fourth time in Mansehra

LAHORE, April 28: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan restored all wings of the party on Thursday and said that change will come in real meanings if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is forced to probe Panama Leaks case and for the first time the powerful will be held accountable.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore he said that this government has taken biggest amount of loans in the history of Pakistan. He said that due to lack of equipments and facilitations many people died in Layyah while Nawaz Sharif visits England for his medical checkup.
He claimed that rather than Lahoris, Metro Train’s commission will go into leaders’ pockets. He also said that commission earned from Metro Bus project will also be transferred to off-shore companies.
He said that corruption worth Rs 12 billion per day is taking place in this country which decreases the amount of investment due to distrust and then loans are taken to run the country. He also said that PM went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) because he is afraid to face Lahoris.
He added that Nawaz Sharif will not get answers to the questions by addressing rallies and that the latter has announced gas pipeline project for the fourth time in Mansehra.
Chairman PTI said that PM has flouted four laws, first corruption, second tax evasion third misrepresentation of facts to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and fourth money laundering.
He questioned that where did the money come from which has been transferred to Panama Companies?
Imran Khan said that the country is on a decisive verge and for the first time powerful is being held accountable. Rallies are arranged as â net practice before marching towards Raiwand, he added.
He said that everyone is busy befriending each other because of Panama Leaks. Similarly, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahagir Tareen will also be friends, he ended.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) of launching a ‘massive propaganda campaign against political opponents funded by taxpayer money’.
In tweets sent out on Thursday, Khan said Pakistan has one of the lowest Human Development Index numbers in South Asia, but the federal government was busy spending public money to divert people’s attention from the Sharif family’s alleged offshore accounts and properties. The PTI chairman’s tweets apparently pointed to half-page advertisements published by the government in several national newspapers today.
The advertisement, appearing on the front pages of some newspapers, pointed to a clarification by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) admitting that they had incorrectly implied that the prime minister of Pakistan controlled an offshore company. The advertisement calls on the government’s political opponents to apologize after the clarification.
Pointing to the advertisements, Khan accused the Sharifs of launching the ‘propaganda campaign’ to hide their corruption.
“Why are state institutions like NAB not taking note of this brazen misuse of public money by govt to defend corruption of Sharif family? Why can’t Sharif family use its own money – the billions stashed abroad – for their propaganda campaign instead of misusing public funds?” he asked in the series of tweets.-NNI/Agencies
