PESHAWAR, May 6: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education, Muhammad Atif Khan has said that the PTI led provincial government has introduced provincial reforms in every sector particularly in health and education but it was need of the hour to inform the people of these reforms effectively adding that in this connection role of information department was very important, that was why the present government had approved the restructuring of Information Department.
This he stated while chairing a meeting regarding effective publicity of government’s initiative launched for the welfare of the common people at Peshawar on Friday. The meeting beside others was also attendant by Additional Secretary Information and Public Relations, Muhammad Bashir Khan and Director Information, Shuaibuddin. Various ways and means were discussed for effectively highlighting the government’s initiatives in detail and certain decisions were taken in this regard.
The meeting decided to utilize print and electronic media side by side social media for better publicity purposes. The Education Minister maintained the nations could not be built through mega projects like metro and orange trains projects rather it was possible by equipping each and every child with ornament of quality education that was why the present government has taken the education sector as a mega project and enhanced its budget above 100 billion. He added that Tameer-e-School was a revolutionary programme under which the provincial government was spending Rs. 43 billion on provision of missing facilities in government schools.-PR
