ISLAMABAD, May 6: President Mamnoon Hussain has called upon investors from Commonwealth countries to take advantage of attractive investment policies in Pakistan by investing in energy, infrastructure and other sectors.
He was talking to Secretary General of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Akbar Khan in Islamabad on Friday.
The President said Operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ has been successful in restoring peace in the country.
He said democracy is strengthening in Pakistan and the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary are working in harmony.
The President said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will usher in a new era of prosperity not only in Pakistan but also the whole region.
He said the government attaches great importance to ensuring human rights for all segments of society, and steps are being to empower women to enable them play their due role in the progress and prosperity of the country.
The CPA Secretary General said the intra-commonwealth trade volume will be around one trillion dollars by 2020. He urged Pakistani businessmen and traders to avail vast opportunities to further boost Pakistan’s economy.-Sabah
