ISLAMABAD, May 8: Minister for Law, Justice and Climate Change Zahid Hamid has reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to act upon The Paris Declaration to deal with the issue of Climate Change.
He said this during a meeting with European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Jean-François Cautain and French Ambassador to Pakistan Martine Dorance in Islamabad.
The Minister said Green Pakistan Program is being launched to ensure implementation of Paris Agreement. He said National Climate Change Policy Implementation Committee has been activated to oversee the progress on implementation of policy recommendations at federal and provincial levels. He said many wind and solar electricity generation projects are being initiated as part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.-Sabah
