- Seeks action against Maryam Nawaz’s husband

ISLAMABAD, May 12: Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) says that it will be an offence by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) if it continued to refrain from taking any action against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the wake of Panama Papers.
“Why is NAB not moving despite documentary evidence coming out in Panama Papers disclosures? NAB law requires action in such cases,” Khan said on Twitter.
“If NAB chief does not take action on Panama documentary revelations, it would be an offence itself U/s 9 (a) of NAO 1999,” he added.-Sabah
Imran Khan said that his party has filed a case in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against Captain Safdar, husband of Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz, for concealing his wife assets.
Imran Khan said “nation is now waiting to see ECP implementing its law.” It may be noted that Captain Safdar is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and it is necessary for the member of NA to expose assets of his wife before the general elections.-Sabah/DNA
