Army Chief ratifies death sentence of five hardcore terrorists

RAWALPINDI, May 12: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday ratified death sentence to five hardcore terrorists.
The perpetrators were involved in Safora bus attack, killing of social activist Sabeen Mehmood and IED blast in Saleh Masjid Karachi. These convicts were tried by military courts. An ISPR statement issued said the men were convicted for “perpetrating Safoora bus attack and were also involved in improvised explosive device (IED) blast near Saleh Masjid Karachi, killing of a social worker Sabeen Mahmud and attacks on law enforcement agencies.” The ISPR statement said five men, namely Saad Aziz, Tahir Hussain Minhas, Asad ur Rehman, Hafiz Nasir and Muhammad Azhar Ishrat will be hanged. The convicts admitted their offences before the trial court, added the statement from ISPR.-Online
