KARACHI, May 24: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar criticised Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif by stating that he is the PM of only selected cities and areas of the country, adding that the federal and the provincial governments, due to their incompetency and corruption, are ignoring the most important city of the country, sources reported.
While addressing a press conference in Khurshid Shah Begum Secretariat, Sattar said that Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities of Sindh are not in the priority list of the Prime Minister, further stating that the PM should inform about the areas which fall under his administration. He also said that PM Nawaz is inaugurating developmental projects in specific areas in order to please his allies and voters and stated that this is similar to political bribe .
Sattar said that he has been intending to meet the PM for past one year to discuss with him the developmental projects in Sindh but the meeting has yet not been made possible. He stated that if injustices are not addressed then Muttahida can organise a huge sit-in.
MQM leader demanded that the Karachi-Hyderabad motorway, M-9 project and the China-Pakistan Economic Project (CPEC) project be made in accordance to the people’s will and that the Karachi circular railway be made functional.-Agencies
