imagesISLAMABAD, May 30: Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Monday met Afghan Ambassador in Islamabad to discuss situation arising out after May 22 US drone attack in Balochistan that killed Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
During the meeting, Sartaj Aziz expressed serious concerns over US drone attacks, stating that Pakistan and Afghanistan should not allow use of its soil against each other. Both also discussed bilateral ties, border situation and the Afghan reconciliation process.
The meeting comes few days after Army Chief General Raheel Sharif met with U.S. Ambassador David Hale to express Islamabad’s serious concerns over the drone strike in Nushki district of Balochistan.

The airstrike strained relations between Pakistan and the United States. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had also condemned the drone strike and claimed that Mansour was not an obstacle to peace talks. DNA
