LARKANA, June 21: The 63rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Chairperson Pakistan People’s Party Benazir Bhutto was observed on Tuesday.
Pakistan Peoples Party has arranged several functions to pay tribute to the late leader.
The ceremony was started by recitation of Holy Quran at Benazir Bhutto’s mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Buksh.
On the occasion, both leaders and supporters belonging to PPP gathered at the tomb to pay tribute to their slain leader who was assassinated on December 27, 2007 in Rawalpindi.
A floral wreath was also laid on the grave of Benazir Bhutto while special prayers were also held for the peace of departed soul.
On the other hand, a special event has also been organized by Bakhtawae Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto at Naudero House to celebrate BB’s birthday.
Sources told that prominent party leaders including Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Qaim Ali Shah would also attend the ceremony. -NNI
