PTIPESHAWAR, July 11: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday submitted an adjournment motion in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly’s secretariat against Chairman Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s alleged statement that ‘Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province belongs to Afghans’.
The adjournment motion moved by the PTI MPA Haji Fazal Elahi saying “Mehmood Achakzai’s statement of terming Khyber Pakhtunkha as part of Afghanistan harmed the sentiments of the people of the province.
He demanded action against the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief.
It is pertinent to mention here that the statement of Mehmood Khan Achakzai, whose party is also in power in Baluchistan, raised a strong controversy by saying that KP belongs to Afghans and they can live there without fear and irritation.-Sabah
