ISLAMABAD, July 19: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tuesday said that he opposed “illegal demands” of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
“I oppose illegal demands of Imran Khan but I endorse him against Mian sahib (Nawaz Sharif),” Bilawal said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
Criticizing the prime minister, Bilawal said that Nawaz Sharif should act as the premier and not as a businessman.
“Mian sahib (Nawaz Sharif) met Indian steel tycoon and not Hurriyat leaders, he needs to think whether he is prime minister or a businessman,” he added.
The PPP chairman also slammed the government over failing to appoint foreign minister, saying it is a high time to work on Pakistan’s foreign policy as it is the only democratic country in the Mulsim world.
On Kashmir issue, Bilawal said that there is a need to find a peaceful solution to the dispute.
He said that the PPP would continue to raise its voice on each constitutional forum for the accountability of the government. “It is our democratic right to demand accountability of the government,” he added.-Online
