KARACHI, January 25: The Sindh Assembly session witnessed rumpus on Monday on the issue of deaths of malnourished children in Tharparkar district.
During question hour, provincial health minister Jam Mehtab told the assembly that situation in Thar is contrary to how it is being portrayed. He said doctors and medical staff are present in Thar. Opposition is just making noise for nothing, he added.
He said that deaths of more than hundred children have been reported from Thar which is incorrect. He said the doctors have complained against these figures.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members staged walk out from the Sindh Assembly after they were disallowed to talk on the issue.-Sabah
