ISLAMABAD, August 24: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said on Wednesday that Altaf Hussain sat with people belonging to the Indian lobby. He said the Indian lobby has played role in Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan statements. He said there is no way forward for MQM except minus Altaf Hussain. He said Pakistan was established by Sindh and Sindhis and not by refugees.
He said soon the focus would be shifted from Karachi to Islamabad. He said that article six is being defamed in country, adding that what has been done with article six is in front of everyone. He said whosoever will support Altaf Hussain will will be considered anti-Pakistani. He said the situation regarding Karachi and London will be cleared in next six days that where MQM people are standing.
Talking to media in his chamber in Parliament House, Khurshid Shah spoke of Farooq Sattar’s press conference stating that it had been delivered under immense political pressure. He said every political party has rejected the statement of Altaf Hussain. He said Indian lobby is sitting with Altaf, adding that Altaf follows Indian lobby and also follow its thinking.
He said India is creating such kind of circumstances to divert the attention from Indian occupied Kashmir situation, adding that India is in severe pressure due to the struggle started by Kashmiris.
“MQM London won’t sit in silence,” Khursheed Shah said, adding that the party in London would try its utmost to prevent transfer of power to Karachi.
“How much more abuse would article 6 take?” he said, adding that Zia-ul-Haq had hanged the prime minister who had introduced the article in the first place.
Khursheed Shah further said that the government had talked about imposing article 6 on Pervez Musharraf but then let him leave the country.
“The government has tried to deflect attention from Panama Leaks,” he contended. He said PPP will organize big public gatherings in all big cities of the country in September over the Panama leaks issue. He said MQM with good thinking should play its role in parliament. -Sabah
