ISLAMABAD, August 24: A high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday reviewed the implementation of National Action Plan on terrorism.
The recommendations of FATA reforms committee were also presented before the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the situation in Karachi and it was agreed that no effort will be spared to maintain law and order situation there.
According to a private TV channel country’s political and military leaderships strongly condemned anti-Pakistan statements as they intended to assure protection of Pakistan security and dignity at any level.
In addition participants of the meeting have expressed intention that protection of Pakistan security and dignity will be assured at every level while National Security adviser Nasir Janjua gave briefing to the session regarding implementation on NAP.
The strategy regarding to train police on modernize way as well as to equip from modern equipment was reviewed in the meeting and it decided in the meeting that mechanism of intelligence sharing with provinces being improved against terrorists and the hurdles in way also be removed.
However, matters pertaining to organised actions against facilitators of terrorist organisation also came under discussion in the meeting. Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, Federal Ministers Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ishaq Dar, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz , National Security Adviser Nasir Khan Janjua and other top brass attended the meeting.-Sabah
