The Americans should not be taken on their face value. More often than not, they don’t mean it whatever they say. Umpteen examples can be given of their doublespeak and duplicity. On the one hand they ask Islamabad to crush the Taliban but on the other they are themselves trying to engage them in parleys.
Isn’t it a fact that Iran and the US are now on the same grid and Washington now wants a dominant role for India in this region?Isn’t it a fact that the US also wants to form a new state for the Kurds of Iran and it is also toying with the idea of creating Greater Balochistan by cutting Siestan off from Iran?Isn’t it a fact that the Americans also want to hand over KPK and FATA to Afghanistan and Azad Kashmir to India?We must be mindful of the machination of the Americans.
The US is the last country in the world which wants a compromise between Iran and Saudi Arabia and it breaks the hands of those who make an attempt to bridge the differences between Tehran and Riyadh. It is a pity that Irani leadership has not yet seen through the game of Washington. Under the garb of friendship it would spread chaos in Iran.
Why should the PPP leadership be raising the issue of use of Rangers in Karachi with the White House?Doesn’t it prove, if any proof was necessary, that most of our policies are dictated by Washington?This has been happening since 1947. We unnecessarily annoyed Moscow by joining various defence pacts with the US aimed at destabilising the Soviet Union. It is in the air that Russia and Pakistan are going to conduct joint military exercises and this has irked policy makers in Washington.
POSTSCRIPT:Had the government clarified well in time that the interior minister is not attending office because of illness , the rumour that he has developed differences with the government would not have spread. That is the reason why the wise say that a stitch in time saves nine.
