ISLAMABAD, January 28: In line with vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif universal health coverage “Prime Minister’s National Health Programme” is striving to provide a cashless scheme for the poor people of Pakistan to access needed healthcare services in a phased manner.
Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar said, Prime Minister’s National Health Programme (PMNHP) is in the process to be launched all across focused districts during first half of 2016.
In this regard, a contract was signed between Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (NHSRC) and NADRA on Thursday for the development of “Central Management Information System” or “CMIS” of Prime Minister’s National Health Program (PMNHP). The contract was signed by Secretary NHSRC, Mohammad Ayub Sheikh, and Chairman NADRA, Usman Mobin in the presence of Minister of State, Saira Afzal Tarrar.
Through this contract NADRA will develop a State-of-the-Art management information system of PMNHP with real time integration on all important and salient features of the programme. As per the contract NADRA will also develop a dashboard for the programme through which decision makers can have access to real time information on all aspects of the programme.
On this occasion Minister of State briefed that this scheme is as per the vision of Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan and will bring drastic improvement in treatment and access to treatment of poorest and under privileged marginalized people of Pakistan.-PR
