ISLAMABAD, September 10: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that compensation funds would be released very soon to the affected families of Waziristan Operation.
Talking to media here Saturday, he said that the compensation funds in the form of Citizen Losses Compensation Programme (CLCP) for FATA was approved by the Prime Minister on February 16, 2016. He said that Finance Division had already released Rs. 5 billion to FATA Secretariat for Citizen Losses Compensation Programme (CLCP). FATA Secretariat has transferred Rs. 1935.440 million for 5576 houses as per request received from Political Agent, South Waziristan Agency. Similarly on the request of Political Agent North Waziristan Agency, Rs.43.680 Million for 210 houses have also been released to Political Agent by Finance Department, FATA Secretariat.-DNA
