MAKKAH, September Hundreds of thousands of Muslims from across the world thronged Mina from Makkah as Hajj rituals began on Saturday.
Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Muhammad Akram Khan reports from Mina that a city of tents has been set up to house the pilgrims.
Hujjaj will offer their Zuhar, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajar prayers at Mina and move to Arafat after sunrise tomorrow.They will offer Zohar and Asr prayers together and listen to “Hajj Khutba at Nimra Masjid.They will stay in Arafat till sunset spending the day in prayers and repenting on their sins. The stay at Arafat on 9th of Zil Hijjah is the main ritual of Hajj.A large number of Pakistani pilgrims are performing Hajj this year.Saudi Government has made elaborate arrangements like provision of cold drinking water and establishment of a large number of toilets and ablution centres for the pilgrims.President Mamnoon Hussain, Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, and other dignitaries have also arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.-Agencies
