KARCHI, January 29: Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major General Akbar Bilal said on Friday that Ranger’s duty in to ensure security, not to rule. He was talking in a conference held in Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi, sources reported.
According to the details, DG Rangers said that the youth is a very important factor in the progress of country and youth’s participation in the process of eliminating terrorism and ensuring peace, is needed.
According to the spokesperson of CM House, during the meeting, matter related to overall law and order situation of Karachi, ongoing targeted operation in the city and implementation on the decisions of Apex Committee were discussed. The decision of using broadband system in biometric was appreciated by both. Rangers Director General (DG) Major General Bilal Akbar on Monday has assured the traders of continuation of operation for peace. A seven-member delegation of All Karachi Traders Union held a meeting with the Rangers DG. The delegation led by Atiq Mir informed the Major General about its security concerns in case the targeted operation is stopped. Rangers spokesperson said that the meeting discussed security situation in the Sindh metropolitan. DG Bilal Akbar assured the traders concerned that the paramilitary force would continue operation against criminals and violators of the law. The targeted operation would continue until conclusive end, he added. The trade body representatives lauded the force’s efforts and role played to bring down the crime rate. The meeting took place at Rangers headquarters.-Online
