ISLAMABAD, October 1: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that an ever large crowd will converge in Islamabad demanding accountability of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after Muharram if the concerned institutions do not take action against him.
“If relevant institutions do not move against Nawaz Sharif’s corruption, Islamabad will see an even larger crowd converge after Muharram demanding ehtesab,” he said. “I want to thank all our people who came from across Pakistan and braved all odds and obstacles to attend our Raiwind March,” he said.
In a series of tweets, Imran Khan thanked all the participants of his Raiwand March. Khan tweeted, “It made me proud to see a united PTI standing firm against corruption & monarchical pretensions of Sharifs in laying claim to Raiwind.”
He also stated that, “It was upto the heads of state institutions to take action against Prime Minister.” “Now it is up to heads of state institutions, which are paid by taxpayer money, to move against N Sharif in what is an open & shut case of corruption.”The party chairman also thanked the media houses for providing detailed coverage of the Raiwand March. “I want to say a special thanks to the electronic media for their marathon coverage of our Raiwind March,” he added.
