PESHAWAR, October 7: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak attended the singing in ceremony between Pakhtunkhwa High Ways Authority and Frontier Works Organization regarding concessionaire agreement, the needs, the mode of payment including the responsibility and functions for the Swat Motorway at CM House Peshawar Friday. Administrative secretaries, MD Pakhtunkhwa High Ways Authority and representatives of Frontier Work Organization attended the ceremony. Under the agreement, Swat Motorway would be 83 kilometres long with two KM tunnels each one KM long that would cost Rs. 40 billion and would be completed within a record time. The cost of the land is Rs. 5 billion and the infrastructure cost will stand Rs. 35 billions. The provincial government would pay the cost of the project in two installments and the first installment is ready to be handed over to the frontier work organisation. Registering his remarks at the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Swat Motorway was of prime importance in opening entire northern parts of the province and integrating it to the whole of the country. – PR
