bilawal-bhutto-zardariLARKANA, October 19: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday called for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to accept his party’s bill on the issue of Panama Leaks or be ready to face slogans of ‘Go Nawaz Go’.
Talking to the media at Naudero house in Larkana, Bilawal hailed Sunday’s ‘Salam Shuhada’ rally held in remembrance of October 18 Karsaz martyrs, a success. He thanked the people of Karachi for coming out in support and said the rally sent out a clear message against terrorism. He said the October 18, 2007 blast, which killed more than 170 people and injured hundreds, was the biggest terrorist attack in Pakistan’s history. “We witnessed 9/11 here every week,” he said. “The people of Pakistan are against terrorism and support democracy,” he said, adding that his party would continue to work to achieve the Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and slain former prime minister Benazir Bhutto. Addressing locals, Bilawal said Larkana is his constituency. He further said that he has three names under consideration for the president of PPP Sindh: Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Khuhro and Maula Bux Chandio. The PPP chief said that the Sindh government would protect the rights of all in the province. Criticising the prime minister’s policies relating to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Bilawal said, “Nawaz Sharif is the prime minister of Pakistan, not just Punjab.” During Sunday’s rally Bilawal had put forward four demands to the government: formation of a new parliamentary committee on national security, passage of his party’s bill on Panama, implementation on Asif Zardari’s resolution on and immediate appointment of a foreign minister.-Agencies
