UNITED KINGDOM, October 24: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan Monday held a meeting on breakfast with Member European Parliament (MEP) Sajjad Karim at his residence at Blackburn, then he departed to Bradford and held luncheon meeting with MPs and MEPs.
Later on President Masood Khan addressed two gatherings of Pakistani and Kashmiri community at consulate of Pakistan, Bradford and Manchester.
During the meeting with MEP Sajjad Karim, latest situation of Indian Occupied Kashmir and matters of mutual interest were also discussed. The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir briefed the MEP about the current situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
He also stressed that, “As a country with historic links to this region, and as a member-state of UN Security Council, it was incumbent on Britain to urge India to end its human rights violations in IOK and to enter into a sustained dialogue process with Pakistan, so as to enable the two countries to peacefully resolve this long standing issue.”
He assured the President of his full support for promoting the cause of Kashmir in European parliament.
While addressing the gatherings of Pakistani-Kashmiri community Sardar Masood Khan said that, “Kashmir is burning once again. Once again the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir are victims of worst form of Indian terrorism.”-Agencies
