ISLAMABAD, February 2: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the Sheikhupura jail officials and JAG branch to make the legal proceedings as per law in reconciliation case of Lance Naik Mukarran Hussain, who was convicted by military court and summoned the reply by 2nd March.
A three-judge bench of apex court headed by Justice Amir Hani Muslim conducted the hearing of the case. During the hearing head of the three-judge bench Justice Amir Hani Muslim observed that culprit is convicted by the military court how we can pardon him.
Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, a member of three-judge bench judge observed that JAG should told whether pardon be given on the basis of reconciliation or not.
The father of the accused Lance Naik Mukkarram Hussain informed the apex court during the hearing that we had informed the military unit in which army personnel was assassinated about reconciliation. On which said military unit had written a letter to jail authorities of Sheikhupura and also presented a copy of letter to the court.-Online
