It is DAWN again.
The lead headline says:
PTI marchers advancing on Islamabad.
This headline clearly is designed to create a perception that Islamabad is under attack from the KPK. The enemy is marching on it.
This precisely is the strategy of the government of Mian Nawaz Sharif. He is hell-bent to establish that Punjab is Pakistan. And Punjab belongs to him.
As though this strategy (to create a perception that the KPK is a separate entity) is not enough, Bilawal Bhutto has announced that his party PPP will hold a massive pubic rally at the BORDER of Punjab and Sindh (as a show of power).
We all know that the enemies of Pakistan are already engaged in a conspiracy to ‘wrench’ Baluchistan from the rest of the country.
Kalbhushan Yadav has become a code name of this conspiracy.
Where does all this scenario lead to? I am sure not all the leaders of the PML (N) are aware of (hence part of) this grand plan to draw a new ‘political map’ in South Asia.
But Mian Nawaz Sharif has come to the conclusion that he can’t hold on to power or to the monumental wealth (he and his family has amassed) unless Pakistan is ‘restricted’ to Punjab, and the threat of the Pak Army is permanently removed.
Dissolution of the Federation of Pakistan means the dissolution of the Pak Army. The Pak Army infact and in effect embodies the spirit of this great Nation.
The other night I was listening to Pakistan’s ex-foreign Secretary, Mr Shamshad. He very accurately and pinpointedly explained the dilemma faced by Pakistan. Agha Hilali another senior bureaucrat solidified Mr Shamshad’s view.
The constitution of 1973 was a step towards creating, not a Federation but a confederation. The 18th amendment effectively transformed Pakistan from Federation to confederation.
The game is on.
But it is the game of our enemies.
When will the Players of Pakistan come out to bury all these conspiracies miles deep under the earth?
