Lahore Nov 18: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has expressed the hope that the gang of the corrupt would inevitably be trapped in the Panama leaks case .
He was talking to the media at Bahawalpur after offering his condolences to the JI Parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar, on the death of his mother.
Sirajul Haq said that a separate Bahawalpur province was the genuine right of the people of the southern Punjab that had been ignored by the PML(N) and PPP governments due to which there was great sense of deprivation among the people there.
The JI said that the government had done great harm to the national dignity and harmony by treating Turkish President as a family guest instead of a state guest. He said the national leadership wanted to exchange views with the distinguished guest which but was not provided an opportunity. JI would not rest till the cancer of corruption was wiped out from the country. Sirajul Haq said that the nation had high expectations from the Panama leaks case being heard by the Supreme Court. He said the JI did not want accountability of any individual or party, but it wanted accountability of all the plunderers and those having got bank loans written off.
He said that some people were giving the impression that they had scored victory at this early stage but added that the true picture would emerge only after the court verdict. He said some elements in the opposition were trying to prove that the accountability would be confined only to the Prime Minister and his family and all others would escape.-Online
