ISLAMABAD, November 18: Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan has advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership not to change its legal team in Panama Leaks case.
Top PTI leadership contacted Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday and held consultation with him over Panama Leaks case and changing of its legal team.While advising PTI leadership against changing it’s counsels Ahsan said that changing of lawyers would further weaken PTI’s case. He further advised the PTI leadership to ask its counsels to prepare technical questions on Panama case.
It is to be mentioned here that PTI leadership had already rejected the reports of changing of counsels. PTI spokesman Naeemul Haq while terming the reports as baseless and based on mala fide intentions said that PTI has already rejected the reports of changing of counsels.He appealed to media not to become tools of rumours mongers, rather should focus on facts. He termed the reports as part of government tactics and conspiracy.He said that PTI’s legal team was pleading the case effectively as per the directives of Chairman PTI Imran Khan.-Agencies
