sirajulhaqDIR/LAHORE, December 2: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that India’s provocations and shelling on the border and the LoC could plunge the entire region into a war and warned that this war would not be confined to any limited area.
He was addressing a big Friday congregation in Dir. The JI chief said that the Muslims were being massacred like fodder in Kashmir, Palestine, Burma and many other areas but the UN and the world community was a silent spectator. He said that peace could not be established in the region in the presence of the Kashmir issue. He deplored that the rulers in Islamabad had failed to draw the attention of the world community to India’s provocations and taking it into confidence on this score as they were busy in self protection.
Sirajul Haq said that India’s troops in Held Kashmir were busy in the genocide of Kashmiris and the common citizens were not allowed to offer Friday prayers. He said it was the responsibility of the international community to take notice of this situation.
The JI chief also exhorted the Muslim rulers to shun the slavery of the west and discharge their responsibilities for solving the Ummah’s problems.
Sirajul Haq said at present, the Pakistani rulers’ main worry was the Panama leaks issue. He said, had the rulers presented themselves for accountability and developed a transparent system of accountability, they would not have been in trouble now. He said it would be in the ruler’s interest even now to accept the hard realities and present themselves for Ehtisab.
He reiterated his demand that along with the present rulers, the previous ruling parties should also be brought into the dock so that Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf were also brought to accountability in order to stop loot and plunder and to recover the plundered wealth from the corrupt. Meanwhile Information Secretary of the JI, Amirul Azeem, has strongly contradicted the statement of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto that JI Chief Senator Sirajul Haq had enjoyed helicopter traveling for 37 times. He has counseled the PPP leader not to equate the JI leadership with the leaders of his own party.
In a rejoinder to Bilawal Bhutto, Amirul Azeem said that Senator Sirajul Haq had never used helicopter although he had been Senior Minister in the Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa. He explained said that the JI chief had used military helicopter to reach Chitral only once after an earthquake because the Katcha road to Chitral had been closed due to land sliding and there was no other land route.-Sabah
