The murder of Pakistan’s national carrier will never be condoned by its people and by history. The failure of Government to engage the PIA workers in a meaningful dialogue-and a conspiratorial proposal to set up a new airline on the ‘Ashes’ of the PIA, are not good omens for this system which has been raised on the greed and the self-interest of its only beneficiaries- the rulers of the country.
It is not small mockery of the sentiments of the patriots of the country that the name that has been proposed for the envisioned new airline is Pakistan International Airways (abbreviation PIA).
If this ‘master plan’ is allowed to work, the assets of the dead Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will be sold to the ‘favoured’ buyers at throwaway prices, and road to massive ‘commissions’ and corruption will be cleared in the setting up of the envisioned Airline i.e. Pakistan International Airways (PIA).
The money-makers of this country indeed have ‘richly’ gifted minds. Their great advantage is that they are ruling this country.
