- Announces to democratically occupy Punjab politics
LAHORE, December 5: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Monday said that he is visiting Lahore to ‘democratically get hold of Punjab’s politics’.
The PPP Chairman was addressing a Foundation Day rally at Bilawal House Lahore, where he said that Asif Zardari will again become president of the country.
Bilawal reiterated that work on National Action Plan has not been carried out.
The PP Chairman criticised Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and said that he is only against terrorism due to political reasons.
“Interior Minister caught Dr Asim and Ayyan Ali but when Hakimullah Mehsood died the federal minister was shedding tears,” he said.
“Our jawans, you and me are fighting terrorism, rest are doing politics on dead bodies” said Bilawal Bhutto.
The 49th founding day of PPP is being celebrated with zeal countrywide. The party started its weeklong foundation day celebrations in Lahore, PPP’s birthplace.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed to ‘democratically occupy’ politics of Punjab.
He asserted that PPP would win mandate of the people across the country in General Elections 2018. PPP and the people were fighting terrorism and not the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
PPP was the only political organisation in the country that initiated a war against terrorism, Bilawal said. Bilawal said that Interior Ministry failed and that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s programme over which PML-N was claiming fame.
Chairman of the party once again warned the government in case his four demands were not met until December 27. He further demanded development project worth billions for Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) as Punjab was getting Orange Line Train project that has cost around Rs 2 billion. Agencies/DNA
